Sencore Medical Announces Groundbreaking New Medical Imaging & Video Display Tech School
Sioux Falls, SD September 24, 2004 -- Millions of medical images are digitized and reproduced on medical video monitors and PACS systems every year without being calibrated or going through a quality assurance process. Since these images may potentially be used for life and death diagnostic decisions, it is crucial to ensure accurate image reproduction with a standard calibration procedure.
Sencore Medical has developed a two-day digital video calibration seminar designed specifically for medical professionals.
This unique course will explore the need for and requirements of industry imaging standards and specifications such as DICOM Part 14 and SMPTE D65 video reference standards, and how to create records of compliance with these specifications. Students will learn hands-on video calibration procedures on different medical displays used in the field. Attendees will learn technical theory, calibration procedures, and test instrumentation.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to accurately calibrate any medical video monitor or imaging display in their system. Providing the most accurate images possible on every display increases the chances for accurate diagnosis and monitoring. This two-day training event qualifies for 17 ASRT credits as well as AAMI credits.
